    • Hicksville Family Treatment & Recovery Center
      An OASAS-licensed outpatient treatment program providing individual, group and family treatment for those struggling with a substance use disorder. Services are offered to individual with the substance use disorder as well as their family and significant others.
    • Hempstead Family Treatment & Recovery Center
      An OASAS-licensed outpatient treatment program that provides individual, group and family treatment for those struggling with a substance use disorder. We also offer prevention services which includes substance use education, parenting classing, counseling and outreach.

      LICADD’s mission is to address the addictive climate of our times by providing initial attention and referral services to individuals, families, and children, through intervention, education and professional guidance to overcome the ravages of alcohol and other drug-related problems.

      Hempstead Learning Center
      The after-school time Learning Center serves at-risk, vulnerable adolescents – runaways, homeless youth, those in foster care and those from struggling families. They receive the support and services they need to prepare them for employment, college and successful adulthood.
    • Lynn Vanderhall Nursery Co-op
      Our Nursery Co-op is a short-term childcare and case management program for parents seeking to improve their individual and family circumstances through employment, education, training or support services in pursuit of self-sufficiency.
    • Pregnant & Parenting Teen Support
      Parents And Children Together (PACT)
      PACT serves the Village of Hempstead and surrounding communities. We focus on offering services to youth who are at risk of unprotected sexual activity, early pregnancy as well as pregnant and parenting teens. The PACT program works to provide teens with opportunities for cultural and education enrichment activities that can support the development of personal goals.
    • Foster Care Youth Living Skills
      Project Independence
      Project Independence is a comprehensive, non-residential program designed to prepare youth between the ages of 14-21 who are in foster care, or discharged from foster care, to live and work independently in the community when they are no longer eligible for foster care.

      Family Support workers are teachers; they teach core life skills families need to improve their situation and enhance the well-being of each member.
    • Gun Violence Reduction
      SNUG is an evidence-based gun violence reduction initiative. SNUG works with community residents, businesses and community-based organizations to implement coordinated strategies to reduce and prevent shootings and killings in community. FCA’s Violence Reduction Initiative will interrupt violence, change behaviors and change community norms for eligible individuals living in the Village of Hempstead.

      HIICAP is your source for free, current and impartial information, counseling and advocacy services concerning health care coverage.
    • Home Energy Assistance
      Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP)
      HEAP staff helps Nassau County seniors and persons with disabilities to apply for federal home heating grants. Eligibility for this once-a-year assistance is based on household income.
    • Nursing Home Advocacy
      Want to help protect our senior citizens? Join Ombudservice and become a volunteer advocate for seniors living in nursing, adult and assisted living homes.

    • Residence for Teens with Emotional Impairments
      Lakeview House
      Lakeview House is a community residence for adolescents who suffer from significant, emotional impairments and are in need of a structured setting in the community that enables them to become involved in the responsibilities of daily living.
    • Emergency Youth Shelter
      Nassau Haven
      Nassau Haven is a 12 bed co-ed emergency shelter, providing short-term housing, case management and respite services to runaway and homeless youth in Nassau County. Since 1982, Nassau Haven has served young people ages 10 to 20.
    • Residence for Homeless Young Adults
      Walkabout for Young Men and Women
      Walkabout for Young Men and Women is a transitional house in Freeport, serving homeless adolescents. It provides ten young people (ages 16-20) with housing and services for up to eighteen months in order to prepare them for living independently in the community.
    • Residence for Adults with Mental Illness
      West Nassau Residence
      West Nassau Residence is a 24-hour supervised community home in Elmont for adult men and women over 18 with persistent mental illness. The residential program assists its consumers in learning the skills necessary to move on to a more independent living environment.
